Canadian Banking Engineering is looking for a senior Solution Architect to enable enterprise scale platform modernization. As a senior member of Customer domain, you will own the Architecture for Customer Systems domain in technology with critical focus to establish clear architectural patterns enabling successful modernization of Customer data platform.
This individual will bring deep technical expertise, pragmatic problem-solving ability to drive complex technology modernization. This individual will be key player in architecting the future technology road map for Canadian Banking applications. The role offers an exciting opportunity to modernize the bank's Customer data platform at enterprise scale.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Provide architecture leadership and act as the Architectural custodian for Customer Systems representing technology across the enterprise
• Define and maintain target-state architecture for Customer Systems domain/ Customer platform that includes all upstream and downstream internal and 3rd party systems and data.
• Own end to end architecture for complex multi-year technology modernization initiative that includes legacy systems and platform, master data systems, API services and other technologies.
• Design migration strategies and patterns from legacy systems to modern platforms identifying technology challenges while offering future proof solutions
• Own critical architectural decisions balancing technical debt reduction, operational risk, delivery timelines and regulatory requirements defending trade-offs
• Regulatory & Security Alignment - Ensure the architecture and solution is as per bank's regulatory, security and compliance standards
• Deep collaboration and partnership with business, operations, other technology domains and 3rd party partners with expertise in facilitating workshops, design and solution sessions to drive desired outcomes
• Inspire teams to use AI, Tools and Automation while ensuring responsible AI usage as per bank's policy and framework

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• 15+ years of architecture (solution or enterprise) preferably with financial services with proven track record leading large scale customer information consolidation program, core / legacy system replacements and book of record migrations
• Deep technical versatility spanning legacy platform (COBOL, mainframe, transactional systems) and modern technologies (microservices, REST APIs, cloud platforms, ETK frameworks)
• Experience with master data management (e.g. MDM, Informatica), designing customer data models with industry specific extensions, data quality frameworks and large-scale data migration experience
• Can do execution mindset with ability to inspire engineers, QE and other relevant stakeholders with ownership mindset driving delivery forward
• Strong communication and articulations skills with ability to represent architectural topics at executive forums
• Ability to effectively resolve conflicts, develop trust-based relationships and be a team player
