Job Summary
The Senior Solution Architect - Platform Integration (M&A) will provide enterprise and solution architecture leadership for platform integration, consolidation, modernization, and large-scale technology initiatives. The role requires deep expertise in financial services and healthcare benefits administration, particularly HSA, FSA, HRA, and COBRA account types, participant lifecycle, contribution and reimbursement processing, and claims adjudication. The architect will bridge technical architecture with business and product strategy, lead architecture teams through defined roadmaps, and deliver solutions within regulated industries while coordinating executive stakeholders and offshore/onshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead enterprise and solution architecture initiatives involving platform integration, consolidation, modernization, and large-scale system migration.
• Assess platforms from both technical systems and business/product capability perspectives.
• Support M&A technology integration activities, including technical due diligence and integration/rationalization roadmap development.
• Design and implement multi-cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and OCI.
• Define architectures using distributed and event-driven patterns, including microservices, service mesh, serverless, reliable actor-based systems, and API gateways.
• Design identity and access management solutions using Azure AD/Entra ID, ADFS, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and IAM policy frameworks.
• Lead solutions involving messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka, Event Hub, Service Bus, and Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Support cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes, Dapr, Kratix, Backstage.io, and Kubernetes operators.
• Establish and maintain DevOps foundations using AKS, Azure Repos/Pipelines, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Lead Architects, Tech Leads, and Developers in implementing defined technical roadmaps.
• Mentor technical teams and coordinate offshore and onshore resources.
• Manage technical initiatives and communicate architecture decisions, progress, and risks to executive stakeholders.
• Support Scaled Agile delivery and cross-functional program execution.
Required Qualifications
• 15-20 years of progressive technical experience, including significant experience as an Enterprise or Solution Architect.
• Deep domain expertise in financial services and healthcare benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of HSA, FSA, HRA, and COBRA account types, participant lifecycle, contribution and reimbursement processing, and claims adjudication.
• Proven ability to bridge technical architecture with business and product strategy.
• Proven experience delivering solutions within regulated industries such as healthcare, banking, and finance.
• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and OCI.
• Strong identity and access management experience with Azure AD/Entra ID, ADFS, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and IAM policy frameworks.
• Expertise in distributed and event-driven architecture, including microservices, service mesh, serverless, reliable actor-based systems, and API gateways.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or .NET ecosystems.
• Strong database experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB.
• Experience with messaging and streaming platforms including Kafka, Strimzi/Confluent, Event Hub, Service Bus, and CDC.
• Working knowledge of CNCF and cloud-native tooling, including Kubernetes, Dapr, Kratix, Backstage.io, and Kubernetes operators.
• Strong DevOps foundation with AKS, Azure Repos/Pipelines, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring teams, project/program management, executive stakeholder communication, Scaled Agile delivery, and offshore/onshore team coordination.
• Proven experience leading Architects, Tech Leads, and Developers to implement defined technical roadmaps.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building, modernizing, or integrating consumer-directed healthcare (CDH) or benefits administration platforms.
• Experience with COBRA administration and continuation-of-coverage compliance workflows.
• Prior experience on an active M&A integration team or within a post-merger technology integration (PMI) function.
• Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Blob, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Web PubSub, Container Apps, and APIM.
• Familiarity with schema/DDL automation frameworks such as DacFx.
• Familiarity with OPA/OPAL IAM policy frameworks.
• Azure certifications such as Solutions Architect Expert or Security Engineer.
• Experience with healthcare and financial data compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
