Job Description - Senior Software EngineerDay to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and modernize an enterprise identity and customer profile platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and support scalable Java-based applications, APIs, and integration services that enable seamless connectivity across a complex application ecosystem. You will leverage cloud-native technologies, messaging frameworks, and modern engineering practices to build resilient, high-performing solutions that support enterprise identity initiatives and enhance the end-user experience.
Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based Software Engineering and application development
- 3+ years of experience developing, consuming, and supporting RESTful APIs and integration services
- 3+ years of experience managing API-to-database connectivity using relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) and/or NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Graph DB, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience working with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, or SQS
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building resilient, scalable, cloud-native solutions in AWS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field
Travel:This position does not require travel. Required location is NTT DATA's Nashville TN or Plano TX office
Degree:Bachelor's in computer science or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
Nice to Have; (But not a must)- Experience developing highly scalable distributed systems using open-source technologies
- Experience supporting high-volume customer-facing API traffic
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, or Ansible
- Experience with operational database administration and support for Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Ability to validate, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Experience working within Agile teams distributed across multiple geographic locations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire and ability to learn and adopt new technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach complex challenges from multiple perspectives
- Domain experience in Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, or Investment Management
- Consulting experience with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement, client relationship management, and trusted advisor partnerships
- AWS Associate, Professional, or Specialty certifications are a plus
