About the roleMyHealthTeam is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. You'll be part of a small, agile team that builds and manages the fastest growing social networks for people living with chronic health conditions.
Our tech stack is built around Ruby on Rails, Elasticsearch, Foundation/jQuery, and MongoDB running on AWS. We're looking for developers with some experience in any of these core technologies and a readiness to learn and grow in others.
What you'll do- Collaborate with the Product and Development teams to build and manage MyHealthTeam's social networks.
- Keep an agile and test-driven mindset.
- Be an all-rounder who can work as a full stack developer or manage our production AWS environment.
Qualifications- A bachelor's degree in computer science or math, or the equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, or AWS
- Familiarity with TDD/BDD
- A love of clean code
- Experience with AI-assisted code generation
- Motivation to work on projects that make a difference for people with chronic health conditions
Skills That Aren't Required But Definitely a Plus- Experience with ZURB Foundation and Elasticsearch
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock or a similar RAG solution
Optional: If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you are welcome to work at our office in downtown San Francisco. Others in the area come in around twice per week.
The pay range for this role is:
120,000 - 170,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
