Rate of Pay: $187,075 - $196,428
Job Duties: Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software for the Ottava Robotic System, with a focus on robust, safetycritical GUI and frontend components, implementing threadsafe, failsafe, highquality C++ and QML code for multicore, multithreaded Qt applications, and developing unit tests to support verification and UI validation. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Participate in regular code reviews while mentoring and training team members on design techniques and coding standards. Lead the design of major software components, systems, and features. Synthesize design and development by envisioning the system architecture and implementing cutting-edge GUI/UI concepts from storyboards and wireframe designs. Collaborate closely with designers, researchers, clinicians, product managers, and a large, passionate group of peers to shape simple and effective user experiences, influencing the future of design. Work closely with Clinical Engineering, Human Factors, UX Design, System Software, and Visualization teams to implement versatile solutions to complex front-end development challenges while keeping the end user in mind.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer - GUI-related occupation.
Position requires experience with:
1. Programming skills in C/C++;
2. Modular GUI development in Qt (or equivalent tools);
3. Front end technologies and front-end frameworks;
4. Entire software stack;
5. Working in a Linux environment;
6. Software development tools (Git, Jenkins, various IDE's);
7. Medical device development experience; and
8. Prototyping.
