What we are looking forWe're searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join Aurora's Cloud Platform team. The Cloud Platform team is responsible for building and maintaining Aurora's cloud infrastructure and development platform.
In this role you will- Drive and manage upgrades and improvements to our Kubernetes infrastructure
- Use your deep knowledge of Kubernetes internals to build developer-facing tooling and infrastructure that creates developer happiness and improves development velocity
- Work with teams across the company to gather requirements, gather support and drive projects forward
Required qualifications- 5+ years demonstrated experience shipping commercial products and services, preferably in Go.
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/EKS preferred)
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals
- Experience building and operating services on Kubernetes
- Experience writing production code in one of three languages: Go, Python, C++
Desirable qualifications- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Managed ingress solutions (Ambassador, Envoy, Istio, etc)
- Experience with kubernetes ecosystem tooling like ArgoCD and Helm
- Experience with observability platforms and tools (Grafana, Distributed Tracing, etc)
- Experience using AI coding assistance and agents in a professional environment
- AV industry experience
For roles based in Seattle, WA, Mountain View, CA and San Francisco, CA: The salary range for this position is $162,000 - $260,000 per year.
For roles based in Pittsburgh, PA: The salary range for this position is $146,000 - $234,000 per year.
Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
