Job DescriptionU.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer - C#/.NET (Multiple openings) in Chicago, IL.
Essential Responsibilities:The Senior Software Engineer - C#/.NET will modernize and support iManage, iTax and NewTaxWF applications with a focus on integrating AI powered tools to accelerate development, improve automation, and enhance decision making for business analysts & users working with mortgage-backed securities and tax workflows.
Specific duties include the following:
- Leading ongoing refinements, development, enhancement, and modernization of iManage (Windows to Web), iTax (Web) and NewTaxWF(Windows to web) applications using Microsoft technologies and cloud native patterns.
- Driving AI enabled development by incorporating M365, Github copilot, Copilot Studio, and ChatGPT into daily workflows to boost productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and accelerate agile delivery.
- Collaborating with business analysts & users to refine requirements, optimize workflows, and identify opportunities for AI assisted development. Provide support for production deployed modules.
- Designing and developing Web APIs, Windows components, and microservices to support evolving business needs.
- Troubleshooting production issues, analyzing user reported problems, and implementing system improvements with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Deploying code through CloudBees Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes on On-prem & Azure; validating changes with real data and ensuring smooth lifecycle transitions.
- Managing application data using SQL Server and NAS file systems, including AI assisted data validation and report generation.
- Supporting batch processes, long running workflows, and automated file sweeping jobs.
- Demonstrating new features and AI driven enhancements to business stakeholders to showcase progress and value additions.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to sprint planning, retro, estimation, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinating with cross functional teams (application, infrastructure, network, security) to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.
- Perform work using the following tools and technologies: C#, .Net framework, .Net Core 8.0, Web API, NUnit, Swagger, SoapUI, MS Sql server, SSRS, IBM MQ, Docker, MS Azure, Kubernetes, Rancher, Cloudbees Jenkin, Visual Studio, Visual studio code, GitLab, Windows services, ReactJs, Typescript, Kendo UI, Blackduck, Fortify, Forgerock, AppDynamics, Datadog, Splunk, Windows and web application development, Agile Methodology, TFS board, Jira, Confluence & Servicenow.
Basic Qualifications:This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems. Employer will accept a 3-year or 4-year bachelor's degree.
Required Skills/Experience:Must also have 5 years of related software development experience using C# and .NET and must have 36 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Developing, enhancing, and modernizing iManage, iTax and NewTaxWF applications using Microsoft technologies and cloud native patterns. 2) Designing and developing Web applications, Windows components & Web APIs to support critical business requirements using latest Microsoft technologies. 3) Leveraging M365, Github copilot, Copilot Studio, and ChatGPT to accelerate agile development and delivery. 4) Deploying code changes to lower environments using Cloudbees Jenkin, Docker and Kubernetes on On-prem & Azure; testing the changes with actual data; and fixing the issues identified in lower life cycle. After system & regression testing deploy changes to Production following monthly release cycles. 5) Performing work using the following tools and technologies: C#, .Net framework, .Net Core 8.0, Web API, NUnit, Swagger, SoapUI, MS Sql server, SSRS, IBM MQ, Docker, MS Azure, Kubernetes, Rancher, Cloudbees Jenkin, Visual Studio, Visual studio code, GitLab, Windows services, ReactJs, Typescript, Kendo UI, Blackduck, Fortify, Forgerock, AppDynamics, DataDog, Splunk, Windows and web application development, Agile Methodology, TFS board, Jira, Confluence & Servicenow. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company.
Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $165,693 - $182,900.
