Title: Senior Software Engineer - Automation Industry: Entertainment Duration: Full-Time, Direct Hire Location: Burbank, CA (4x per week onsite) Rate Range: $84-$95/hr Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

The Automation and Innovation Team within HR Products supports functional areas across Human Resources by collaborating on automation solutions to manual and cumbersome processes. We seek to create a world class working experience for our HR clients!
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will own the end-to-end design and development of automation solutions, from requirements analysis through deployment and support, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and aligned with architectural standards. You will work independently with minimal guidance, collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, and act as a technical mentor and escalation point, using your proficiency and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in automation capabilities.
Plan, design, and develop automation solutions and workflows that address complex business needs and eliminate manual, repetitive tasks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, assess automation feasibility and ROI, and translate them into robust technical designs and specifications.
Develop, test, debug, and optimize automation components and integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party applications to ensure performance and scalability.
Ensure high-quality delivery through comprehensive unit and integration testing, troubleshooting complex issues across environments, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability.
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including design documents, process flows, and user guides, to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor for colleagues, providing guidance on best practices in automation design, coding standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
Contribute to architectural discussions, recommend improvements to tools and processes, and help drive the evolution of automation platforms and frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with RPA development across a variety of technology stacks including UiPath and Power Automate (5+ years)
Experience with ERP systems (Workday, SAP) (3+ years)
Experience Integrating RPA solutions with other systems and applications, such as databases, APIs, Enterprise applications, Workday, SAP, and third-party software aligning with the integrations standards and principles
Proficiency in analyzing existing business processes to identify automation potential, feasibility, and ROI; Develop and maintain process documentation, including detailed process maps and solution design documents
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design, testing, debugging, and performance optimization in complex, high-volume environments.
Experience working across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, and support.
Ability to operate as an independent worker, effectively managing priorities and delivering high-quality solutions with minimal guidance.
Skilled problem-solver with advanced troubleshooting abilities in development, test, and production environments.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain difficult or sensitive technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated experience mentoring or guiding less-experienced engineers and contributing to team-wide technical excellence.
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering and/or automation development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background working with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices such as Agile/Scrum.
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and services used to host or integrate automation solutions.
