Position Summary...

What you'll do...
The Subscriptions Team is responsible for building experiences that help customers plan, organize, and simplify their shopping on Walmart. Our team brings together experts in product management, design, engineering, research, and analytics to create seamless ways for customers to subscribe and save on frequently purchased items. We focus on intuitive experiences that make it easy for customers to stay organized, never run out of essentials, and share their needs with others. By leveraging customer insights and data-driven decisions, we continuously improve these experiences to reduce friction and make everyday shopping more convenient and personalized.

What you'll do:
  • Participate in discovery and design for small-to-medium features by partnering with Product, UX, and Engineering teams.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Android solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin/Java and modern Android frameworks.
  • Follow established architecture patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture) and coding standards.
  • Write unit tests and support integration and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support CI/CD processes and release activities.
  • Implement telemetry, logging, and performance monitoring enhancements.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to improve engineering efficiency and code quality.
  • Communicate status, risks, and blockers clearly to stakeholders.
  • Provide task-level guidance to 1-2 engineers, including offshore associates, as needed.


What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years of Android development experience.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and REST API integration.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodology.
  • Experience with unit testing and debugging tools.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of mobile performance optimization and monitoring.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy standards.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
