About the Position:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (.NET, Identity & Security) to play a key role in the evolution of our software platforms. This position combines hands-on software development with technical leadership in authentication, authorization, identity management, and secure application design, helping drive improvements to our identity and security capabilities while continuing to design, develop, and support modern business applications.
Specific Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications primarily using C#, .NET, and JavaScript;
Support improvements to authentication and authorization frameworks across our platforms;
Design and implement secure identity integrations using modern authentication standards;
Collaborate with the broader development team to embed security best practices into the software development lifecycle;
Review existing applications and recommend improvements to security, identity, and access management capabilities;
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making;
Support cloud-based solutions and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our Azure environment;
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and integration issues;
Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience in one or more of the following:
OAuth 2.0;
OpenID Connect (OIDC);
SAML;
JWT-based authentication;
Single Sign-On (SSO);
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC);
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA);
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD);
Identity federation and external identity providers.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of professional software development experience;
Strong experience developing applications using C# and .NET;
Experience building and consuming REST APIs;
Strong understanding of relational databases;
Experience with modern front-end technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and a framework such as React, Angular, or Vue;
Experience with source control systems such as Git is considered an asset
Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native application development experience is considered an asset
Docker and containerized workloads experience is considered an asset
Exposure to application security testing tools and practices is considered an asset
Our benefits include:
An estimated annual salary is $85,000 - $105,000 CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
