Senior Data Scientist - Customer Data Platform

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will help shape what the team builds byidentifyingthe right questions, structuring the analysis needed to answer them, and translating findings into practical recommendations. This role is especially well suited for someone who thrives in highly cross-functional environments and enjoys bringing clarity, structure, and measurable impact to complex spaces.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with product, engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to frame ambiguous opportunities, define success measures, and shape high-value problem statements before solutions are built

  • Lead high-impact analysis that uncovers trends, diagnoses root causes, and generates actionable insight to improve product, operational, or customer outcomes

  • Design andmaintainrobust measurement approaches, KPI frameworks, and governance practices that improve decision quality and create alignment across stakeholders

  • Translate large, complex, and sometimes messy datasets into clear narratives, recommendations, and tradeoffs that influence prioritization and investment decisions

  • Build scalable analytical assets, methodologies, or data science solutions that can be used repeatedly across the team or domain

  • Mentor other team members by raising the bar on analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and data-informed decision making

Experience & Qualifications:

  • You have abachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience

  • You have 8+ years of relevant professional experience

  • You have substantial experience applying advanced analytics, experimentation, statistical methods, and data storytelling to business or product problems

  • You have experience structuring complex business issues and partnering cross-functionally to turn them into scalable analytical or data science solutions

  • You are proficient in SQL and at least one analytical programming language such as Python or R, and you are comfortable working with large-scale structured and semi-structured data

  • You are effective at communicating insight, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

  • You have experienceoperatingin a product, platform, marketplace, or customer-focused technology environment

  • You have built or influenced KPI frameworks, decision models, or governance mechanisms that improved prioritization and execution

  • You have experience mentoring other analysts or data scientists and contributing to stronger analytical standards across a team or domain

  • You have worked with experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, segmentation, or other methods used to support strategic product and business decisions

  • You are comfortable working autonomously in fast-moving environments and can move from open-ended question to clear recommendation with limited direction

Location

Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: Seattle or Austin, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $184,500.00 to $258,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $295,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
