The OpportunityWe are looking for a Software Engineer - Web Development Platform to join Adobe Express. This role is key in establishing the client infrastructure for Adobe's web applications. Collaborate with an experienced team to develop scalable systems for innovative features across web and mobile.
What you'll Do - Design and develop the foundational architecture and client infrastructure for Adobe Express and related web applications.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to build features spanning diverse domains, including multimedia, AI, and real-time collaboration.
- Implement scalable and efficient solutions using TypeScript as the primary language.
- Develop and optimize systems for distributed environments, real-time collaboration, and multimedia applications.
- Contribute to the evolution of the web platform by leveraging technologies such as WebComponents, WPA, WebAPIs, Node.js, and more.
What you need to succeed Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or three years of industry experience
- Advanced expertise in TypeScript or JavaScript; understanding of C++ and Python is a plus
- Proficiency in tools and platforms such as VSCode, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub, Bazel
- Understanding of WebComponents, WebAPIs, plus - Node.js, WASM
- Proven ability to architect and implement scalable, efficient systems in collaboration with large teams
Preferred Experience:Candidates with expertise or experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Web client infrastructure development
- Client-side Web app development
- Distributed systems and real-time collaboration
- Photographic, multimedia, or page layout applications
Expected Pay Range:Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $139,000 -- $257,550 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
