Senior SharePoint Developer

Position Summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer to support the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) by leading SharePoint development, modernization, migration, governance, and architecture initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This position supports SharePoint Online and legacy SharePoint platforms, application modernization efforts, enterprise content management, and migration activities associated with the transition to DoD365.

The Senior SharePoint Developer will provide technical leadership for SharePoint development, information architecture, application lifecycle management, governance, and modernization efforts while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity requirements, and agency mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SharePoint-based applications, portals, and collaboration solutions using SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and related technologies.
  • Perform analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of SharePoint solutions supporting mission and business operations.
  • Support migration of applications, web pages, workflows, and content from on-premises SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online within the DoD365 environment.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web parts, custom solutions, workflows, forms, and integrations.
  • Manage and maintain SharePoint information architecture, including site collections, metadata, content structures, permissions, governance, and navigation.
  • Develop modernization and enhancement solutions to improve usability, efficiency, performance, accessibility, and user experience.
  • Support enterprise content management initiatives and large-scale migration efforts involving SharePoint sites, applications, and file-based repositories.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommendations regarding SharePoint architecture, development standards, governance processes, and application lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to SharePoint governance policies, procedures, and best practices supporting self-service content management across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and operational procedures.
  • Support Agile development activities including requirements analysis, sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and release management.
  • Ensure SharePoint environments comply with applicable cybersecurity requirements, including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), RMF controls, and DoD policies.
  • Support review, implementation, and remediation of SharePoint-related security controls and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, administrators, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and mission-focused solutions.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5-7 years of progressive SharePoint development experience.
  • Experience with:
    • SharePoint Online
    • SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
    • SharePoint Designer
    • Microsoft 365 / DoD365
    • InfoPath and Forms Services
    • Enterprise Search
  • Experience developing and supporting SharePoint information architecture, content management, and governance solutions.
  • Experience supporting SharePoint migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with modern SharePoint development practices including SPFx and SharePoint Patterns and Practices (PnP).
  • Knowledge of SharePoint STIG requirements and DoD cybersecurity compliance standards.
  • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification required.
  • Active Secret clearance.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Federal or DoD experience preferred.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
