Job Summary:The Senior ServiceNow Developer - Hardware Asset Management (HAM) is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale HAM solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and audit-ready workflows that support the full hardware asset lifecycle. The candidate will ensure data integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with enterprise risk and control standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams across technology, operations, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, configure, and develop ServiceNow HAM Pro solutions supporting the full asset lifecycle (procure, receive, deploy, transfer, reclaim, store, dispose)
- Build and maintain Flow Designer workflows, business rules, Script Includes, UI policies, and catalog/task extensions
- Ensure asset data accuracy, classification, normalization, and lifecycle governance
- Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), ACLs, and least-privilege security models
- Support audit, risk, and compliance requirements, including SOX-aligned controls and data traceability
- Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems (procurement, inventory, logistics)
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA/UAT, Platform, and Operations teams across SDLC phases
- Participate in release planning, upgrades, regression testing, and production support
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and defect resolution
- Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and best practices
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering quality and consistency
Required Skills:- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM/ITAM)
- Experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro and asset lifecycle management
- Proficiency in Flow Designer and workflow automation
- Strong scripting experience (Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions)
- Understanding of asset and model data structures
- Knowledge of data integrity, access controls, and secure system design
- Experience working in large enterprise environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:- Experience with global or multi-region HAM implementations
- Familiarity with integration patterns (APIs, MID Server, import sets, transform maps)
- Experience working in Agile or structured SDLC environments
- Exposure to regulated or audit-driven environments
Certifications:ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - HAM (preferred)
Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
