This role provides technical expertise for Serialization, Engineering, Information Technology, and other related projects in support of Sharp Packaging Solutions. This includes the coordination of the technical requirements among all internal company functional areas and communication of requirements statuses. Responsible for the role of liaison among customers, Sharp sales, project management, order management, engineering, quality, operations, and other corporate functions as needed, with respect to technical details.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Serialization and Technical Services Specialist position. Other duties may also be assigned.
Responsible for the following aspects:
- Assigned technical requirements or challenges of high complexity that require critical thinking, solution development, and technical comprehension.
- Responsible as the primary resource for the technical documentation related to the solution identified for implementation.
- Schedules, facilitates, documents, and communicates action items resulting from project meetings
- Establishing customer and Sharp functional responsibility (i.e. RACI Matrix and Work Breakdown Structure, WBS) for each task as required.
- Develops and tracks vendor requirements and prioritizes workload for multiple technical solution requirements.
- Identifies and develops solutions for any issues that arise during technical solution execution.
- Responsible for procuring and deploying the required technology services, hardware, and software from technical providers as required to support assigned technical solutions.
- Provides technical support for assigned technical solution portfolios, including but not limited to: XPReS (Sharp Commercial) team projects requiring serialization, EPCIS, and/or data exchange and internal process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
- Provide process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards.
- Manages delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to assigned initiatives.
- Assumes the role as main point of contact for technical issues in a project and coordinates with the XPReS (Sharp Commercial) team for the non-technical aspects of the projects as applicable.
PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University preferably in a science discipline or a technical area, such as Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business or related curricula. A minimum of 5 years' relevant and applicable experience is preferred. Willingness to pursue professional development in one of these areas during employment with Sharp. Lean and/or Six Sigma background is a plus but not required.
