Join our Ottawa Building Technology Team and take the lead on major, multidisciplinary security projects that blend strategy, technology, and hands-on expertise to create safer, smarter spaces.

Your Impact
  • Design integrated security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, duress, real-time locating, and related networks.
  • Lead and deliver complete project lifecycles-from studies and concept design through detailed design, construction documentation, tender review, construction administration, and project closeout.
  • Conduct physical security audits and assessments, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Manage and lead stakeholder engagement sessions, uncovering technical and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to develop client-focused solutions across varied technologies.
  • Represent WSP as a trusted subject matter expert, advising clients across sectors.
  • Prepare clear, compelling bids and proposals and support business development across service offerings.
  • Develop professional technical deliverables-including specifications, reports, and visual documentation-using MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and more.
  • Interpret, coordinate, and review drawings produced in REVIT, AutoCAD, and comparable platforms.
  • Participate in project and technical meetings with executives, end users, consultants, and technical teams.
  • Work collaboratively with local and national security and technology professionals to deliver integrated, high-impact solutions.

  • You bring 5+ years of security consulting experience across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • You have demonstrable experience managing large security projects with confidence and commercial awareness.
  • You understand project finance, contracts, and commercial models, and can develop strong proposals and bids.
  • Experience with Threat Risk Assessments and physical security methodologies is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Alliance, DBFM, Design-Build, and other alternative delivery models is an advantage.
  • You bring networking and systems integration knowledge to support modern security design.
  • You are accomplished in delivering presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • You maintain or can obtain Public Works & Government Services Canada Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
  • You hold a valid driver's licence and can travel for project assignments.
  • You're flexible-able to support occasional overtime and adapt to evolving project needs.

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:$122,900 - $162,800
MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $111,000 - $147,400
