Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office Toronto at a minimum 3 days per week subject to change at any time.

We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for a cross-functional software development team. In this role, you will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, partner closely with engineering and product teams, and drive predictable delivery through effective Agile practices. You will serve as the bridge between technical and business stakeholders while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Facilitate all Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
Partner with the Product Owner to prioritize and maintain a healthy product backlog aligned with business objectives.
Coach the team on Agile principles and Scrum best practices to improve team maturity and performance.
Remove impediments and proactively address delivery risks to keep the team focused and productive.
Collaborate with engineering teams to manage technical dependencies, sprint scope, and release planning.
Participate in technical discussions involving CI/CD pipelines, APIs, system integrations, and application architecture to effectively bridge business and development teams.
Monitor sprint progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, throughput, and sprint predictability.
Prepare and communicate delivery status, risks, and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize Agile processes and team collaboration.
Support successful software delivery while promoting quality, transparency, and accountability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development teams.
Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile methodologies, and servant leadership principles.
Experience working in technical software development environments with engineering teams.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, cloud technologies, and modern application architectures.
Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Experience tracking Agile metrics and preparing executive-level delivery reporting.
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent) is preferred.
