Senior Scientist - Projects

Job Description

In one of our professional roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. Job responsibilities include:

The Senior Scientist Projects will lead Research and Development (R&D) projects specific to Poise and Depend Light End Innovation programs for KCNA. As a member of the R&D Team, this individual will collaboratively lead projects through the Innovation Management Framework, building from consumer insights to product design and market launch. 

This role will work in conjunction with Product Team Members and cross-functional partners from Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to execute projects.  The incumbent reports to an R&D Manager and receives work direction from the Manager and Technical Strategist.  This role will give work direction, coaching, and mentoring to 3-10 indirect team members.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higer from an accredited college/university
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or product development   
  • Proven track record of effectively communicating to and influencing leaders and team members across all levels of the R&D and cross-functional organization
  • Prior experience leading projects from idea to execution
  • Demonstrated ability to provide work directions to team members not in a direct reporting relationship
  • 15-25% in-country travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or science related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project management/product development, particularly Development & Commercialization (D&C)
  • Work experience across a range of Research & Engineering or Marketing disciplines
  • Strong understanding of Adult Care products, brands, business, and technologies
  • Strong mentoring skills
  • Financial acumen

Salary Range: 105,740 – 130,620 USD At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
