Position Summary
Independently supports, designs, and leads behavioral and in vivo physiology research, supervises laboratory personnel, and serves as a key resource for scientific expertise in neuroscience experiments.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Independently designs, conducts, and oversees behavioral and in vivo physiology experiments.
  • Supervises, mentors, and supports laboratory team members.
  • Provides scientific and technical expertise, acting as a resource for lab members and collaborators.
  • Analyzes data, prepares figures, and contributes meaningfully to manuscripts and reports.
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards; maintains documentation for laboratory practices and specimen management.
  • Coordinates research projects effectively with other core facilities and collaborating investigators.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Working Conditions:
  • Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological, chemical and radioactive hazards.
  • Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

$63,400.00 - $115,000.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
