Job DescriptionSenior Scheduler IISUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced
Senior Scheduler II with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Senior Scheduling Engineer will provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead and coordinate site teams and trade partners in developing project schedules using CPM scheduling programs
- Support group leadership by monitoring and updating project schedules on multiple or larger projects
- Explore mitigation options and assist site management in formulating mitigation plans for scheduling problems
- Lead or instruct less experienced individuals in planning and scheduling concepts
- Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, leading project pursuit strategy regarding schedules
- Participate in corporate planning and scheduling improvement initiatives and best practice sharing
- Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field
- Minimum of six years construction experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience as an assistant project manager or assistant superintendent is desirable
- Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software
- Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
- Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in solving unprecedented problems on complex projects
- Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills
- Basic knowledge of project management, buyout, contracts, cost and resource loaded schedules, and claims avoidance/resolution techniques
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and interpret/implement customer scheduling specifications and contract requirements
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment with excellent communication skills and openness to diverse input and feedback

The base pay range for this role is $107,200 - $160,800. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
