Job Description

As a Lead scheduler, you will be responsible for management of day-to-day project related scheduling works and team, including but not limited to creating, monitoring, and analyzing project scheduling activities for Ship repair projects/programs, in line with corporate scheduling processes and procedures.

RESPONSABILITIES:
  • Lead scheduling effort on Ship repair program, with all interfaces and deliverables related to schedule, progress measurement, analysis and reporting and management of team of schedulers as applicable.
  • Establish work breakdown structures, key project milestones, and project reporting baselines with PMO and Client.
  • Monitor and analyze updated project schedules in accordance to approved project baselines.
  • Timely delivery of progress and performance reports with required quality and analysis as required by the program/contract
  • Understand established IT systems/automation tools for compiling data from different areas/projects and share analysis to support decision making by function/PMO/management.
  • Provide support as needed for trend reporting, mitigation of delays and threats to the project schedule if any.
  • Adhere to corporate scheduling processes and procedures
  • Analyze possible schedule issues related to change of management and identify potential claims


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Have extensive experience with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Hold a university degree or a college diploma in a relevant discipline (engineering, naval architecture) and have a minimum of 20 years of experience in scheduling & project controls.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in shipbuilding/repair scheduling and planning is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the interrelationship of project scope definition from estimating to commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of Earned Value Measurement in engineering, procurement, fabrication & construction (CPI, SPI, EAC, etc.)
  • Know and be able to apply scheduling and progress methodologies and methods as contained in the AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practice
  • Skilled in team management and meeting KPIs/objectives set out by functional scheduling manager, as per program needs and also individual growth and development plans.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate with different departments in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Successfully complete the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government's Contract Security Program. .
