Your Role The Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) SAS Administration team is looking for a SAS Administrator familiar with a SAS Grid enabled EBI n-tiered architecture installed in a RHEL / IIS / Windows client/server environment. SAS Viya 3.5 and SAS Viya 4 experience is a plus.
Candidate would maintain existing RHEL scripts and schedules and would be expected to develop new scripts, as required, to support additional needs and to provide SAS consulting assistance to approximately 8000 end users. SAS Grid architecture and installation experience is required.
Support responsibilities include, but are not limited to problem determination, best practices, and coding techniques.
Data sources include a variety of formats including DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel, Hadoop, Dremio, Starburst as well as ASCII, EBDCIC, and CLI interfaces.
The successful candidate must work effectively across a wide range of end-user expertise and experience which will require patience and strong communication skills.
• SAS platform administration (SAS 9.x or Viya).
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux command line and file systems.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and ticket-handling skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate appropriately.
• Exposure to SAS Grid, VA, or Viya environments.
• Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, etc.).'
