Role Overview

The Senior Sales Operations Manager is a critical strategic partner responsible for driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and operational excellence across assigned retail accounts. This role serves as the primary operational owner of the business, translating data and insights into actionable strategies across forecasting, inventory management, demand planning, trade spend, and supply chain execution.

This position plays a leadership role in identifying risks and opportunities in real time, guiding cross-functional decision-making, and proactively influencing outcomes. The Senior Sales Operations Manager collaborates closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and Analytics, as well as senior customer stakeholders, to ensure alignment and execution against business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Ownership
  • Serve as the primary operational lead for Amazon Canada, owning demand planning, inventory health, purchase order execution, POS and trend analysis, and trade spend performance.
  • Monitor real-time business performance, identify material risks or opportunities, and recommend data-driven action plans to drive results.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Sales Directors and Account Teams by providing forward-looking insights and scenario-based recommendations.

Forecasting, Inventory & Supply Chain Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional forecasting, inventory planning, and order management processes in partnership with Sales, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting inputs within SFO, including new item setup, pricing updates, and data governance standards.
  • Partner with customer demand planning and replenishment teams to align forecasts, service-level expectations, and inventory strategies.
  • Oversee coordination of domestic and import orders, managing availability timelines and mitigating supply risks.

Performance Analytics & Executive Reporting
  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting, highlighting key trends, risks, and calls to action.
  • Deliver monthly financial updates and conduct deep-dive analyses into sales performance, margin, inventory productivity, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Track and evaluate promotional performance versus expectations and collaborate with analytics partners to inform future shipment and inventory strategies.

Trade Spend & Promotional Management
  • Partner with Account Management and Finance teams to plan, manage, and optimize trade spend investments.
  • Input and maintain confirmed promotional plans within forecasting systems to ensure accurate demand signals.
  • Evaluate return on investment for promotions and provide leadership with actionable insights.

Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Develop deep expertise in customer-specific requirements, processes, and systems, serving as a key point of escalation and influence with regards to forecast, orders and inventory.
  • Lead regular inventory and replenishment discussions with customer teams, driving alignment and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the extended Amazon team to develop customer-facing materials, including weekly flash reports, monthly business reviews, consensus decks, and executive presentations.
  • Ensure timely communication and alignment across internal teams to drive execution excellence.


Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in sales operations, demand planning, supply chain, finance, or analytics within the consumer products industry.
  • Proven experience supporting Amazon and/or large-scale retail accounts preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools.
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Track record of influencing cross-functional teams and driving results without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 20% for corporate events and HQ visits (Needham, MA).
