Position Summary

The Senior Sales Manager is a high-impact, revenue-driven role responsible for generating new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the Director of Sales in achieving overall property revenue goals (e.g., $1.5M+ in annual group room revenue).

This is an elevated sales position requiring a proven track record of consistent, high-level production, strategic prospecting, and strong closing ability. The ideal candidate brings hotel sales experience (Marriott experience preferred), deep knowledge of the Dallas market, and the ability to proactively drive business to the hotel.

What You Will Accomplish

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently achieve and exceed assigned revenue and production goals through proactive sales efforts
  • Identify, solicit, and secure new business through prospecting, networking, and market engagement
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts while developing new client relationships
  • Partner closely with the Director of Sales to support overall sales strategy and lead generation efforts
  • Respond to leads, RFPs, and inquiries with urgency and strategic positioning to maximize conversion
  • Conduct site tours, client meetings, and presentations to showcase the property
  • Negotiate contracts and close business aligned with revenue goals and brand standards
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting, forecasting, and CRM documentation
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management, Operations, and Events teams to ensure successful execution of booked business
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive set activity, and demand drivers within the Dallas market
  • Support the Director of Sales in driving overall team performance and achieving departmental goals

Work Environment & Expectations
