Full Job Description
Position Location: This role supports our Sandy, UT branch location, and this role will focus on Utah County/Provo, UT.

The Fire Alarm / Life Safety Senior Sales Executive will help grow Siemens' commercial fire and life safety, as well as our security systems business throughout the Salt Lake City and Utah County markets, including Provo and surrounding high-growth communities. This role supports both new construction solutions and service agreement sales, providing an opportunity to develop new customer relationships while expanding Siemens' presence with existing customers.

You will work with building owners, end users, electrical and general contractors, consulting engineers, architects, developers, authorities having jurisdiction, and other key stakeholders to deliver fire alarm / life safety, security systems, and related building solutions. Although fire and life safety will be the primary focus, candidates with relevant commercial security systems, electrical, building systems, or technical service sales experience are encouraged to apply.

As a trusted advisor, you will help customers protect their people, facilities, and operations by identifying their needs and recommending solutions that support safer, more resilient, and emergency-ready buildings. You will represent Siemens' innovative technologies and extensive service capabilities while building a long-term sales career with a recognized global technology leader.

As a Fire Alarm / Life Safety Senior Sales Executive, you will:
  • Achieve assigned booking and profit goals by developing new construction, system modernization, and service agreement opportunities with new and existing customers throughout your territory.
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline, accurately forecast expected order intake, and develop strategic account and market plans that support consistent growth across fire alarm, life safety, and related security solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted customer advisor by engaging multiple levels of the customer's organization, assessing business and facility needs, completing site surveys, and helping customers establish budgets, investment priorities, and success measures.
  • Develop relationships with building owners, end users, contractors, consulting engineers, architects, developers, and authorities having jurisdiction. Influence new construction specifications and represent Siemens through industry organizations, networking events, and local market activities.
  • Collaborate with estimators, operations, finance, legal, sales support, and other Siemens sales teams to develop estimates, bid packages, specifications, presentations, pricing strategies, and value-based proposals. Ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations and remain engaged through project or service implementation to support customer satisfaction and future business.
  • Maintain awareness of customer needs, competitor offerings, applicable fire and life safety requirements, and relevant technology and market trends. Spend a minimum of 50% of your time in customer-facing activities, including in-person and on-site meetings, and travel overnight up to 10% for training and business development.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
  • 2+ years of directly relevant experience in end-to-end sales, business development, account management, or consulting within commercial fire alarm / life safety, security systems, electrical, building systems, technical services, or a directly related commercial construction industry
  • Experience developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and managing sales opportunities through the full sales cycle
  • Ability to demonstrate financial and business acumen when estimating, positioning, and selling technical solutions or service offerings
  • Account development, consultative selling, strategic sales, organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or consulting within commercial fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, life safety, security, electrical, or related building systems
  • Experience selling fire alarm or life safety solutions, system upgrades, inspections, testing, maintenance, monitoring, or service agreements
  • Experience selling to electrical contractors, general contractors, consulting engineers, architects, developers, building owners, facility leaders, or end users
  • Experience building relationships with multiple levels of a customer's organization and selling both new construction solutions and recurring service agreements
  • Knowledge of common fire alarm and life safety systems, equipment, inspection requirements, codes, and standards, including IFC, IBC, NFPA, CMS, or related requirements
  • Experience performing site surveys and partnering with estimators, engineers, or operations teams to develop technical estimates, proposals, specifications, or customer bid packages
  • Commercial security sales experience with relevant customer relationships and the ability to expand into fire and life safety solutions
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or a similar customer relationship management platform
  • NICET Level I or II Fire Alarm Certification, or willingness and ability to complete applicable certification testing within two years of hire

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually plus an uncapped sales incentive structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
