Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI.

Job Overview

This role serves as the subject matter expert for Haworth furniture assemblies, with extensive knowledge of furniture and surface material compliance requirements. Responsible for resolving customer and installation issues through Remedyforce, including troubleshooting and parts identification. Independently develops and implements quality assurance plans for complex products and systems to ensure performance and compliance. Leads root cause analysis, resolves quality concerns, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex quality improvement projects, utilizing Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of quality issues.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality programs to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other departments on quality-related matters.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in quality management.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with emphasis in electrical, chemical and/or mechanical systems or similar field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree, in engineering, process engineering, or a technical product application environment
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Haworth products and systems
  • Customer facing experience in a technical or product support environment
  • Technical writing and documentation experience
  • Experience within the furniture manufacturing or furniture industry
  • Knowledge of industry compliance standards, including BIFMA, E84, Prop 65, and GREENGUARD
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
