THE ROLE

  • Working as part of a sales operations team the Sales Analyst provides decision support through actionable and insightful analytics to Sales and Business leaders as well as directly to Sales Reps

  • The Sales Analyst is assigned full ownership of and will be partnering closely with key stakeholders and engage deeply in their business to ensure presentations, reports, dashboards, analysis and commentary is highly impactful and driving increased sales productivity and effectiveness.

  • Oversee sales planning, forecasting and general reporting activities to inform sales management of performance and to provide insights that support business objectives

  • The Sales Analyst focuses on both lagging as well as leading analytics to ensure segment is not only well informed on what is happening in their business, but also through predictive and prescriptive analysis identify opportunities for further growth.

  • On an annual and periodic basis the Sales Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with Sales and Finance to guide and translate overall annual revenue expectations to rep and team level sales and retention quotas.

  • The Sales Analyst will lead and join projects focusing on driving continuous innovation around Sales Analytics Tools and Sales Performance Management

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Planning & Execution:

  • Provide support and insights working collaboratively with sales management, finance and sales compensation team on transforming Segment revenue/sales plan target into sales plan goals by territory and individual. Ensure linkage between revenue growth and sales growth in financial plans from each segment

  • Manage milestone requirements to ensure timely and quality execution of overall sales plan, including plan reviews, and meeting key milestones according to plan targets

  • Through deep understanding of sales channels and the segment create effective sales models that incorporate historical performance levels and future market opportunity to facilitate precise target setting.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • As an advisor to sales and business leadership at all levels deliver sales and retention pipeline and performance reporting by territory and product level with commentary and analysis focused on actionable insights.

  • Prepare presentations, reporting and analytical support for global and regional sales meetings.

  • Provide general analytical support to sales management to support ad-hoc business requirements.

  • Develop new standardized reporting packages designed to strengthen the insights and decision support the sales organisation and general business receives on a recurring basis.

  • Leverage salesforce, business intelligence and other reporting tools to support smart sales performance and future opportunity reporting, monitoring and tracking.

  • Partner with marketing on programs in order to drive and focus the sales organization to deliver on future growth opportunities.

  • Develop detailed knowledge of product portfolio and a strong understanding of current and future market opportunities.

Sales Forecasting:

  • Partake in monthly sales forecasting rhythm and support management in the development and evaluation of the committed sales forecast, including post closure forecast accuracy evaluation.

  • Work closely with Finance organisation on supporting forecasting process and potential areas for improvements.

  • Monitor data and provide analysis to illustrate sales trends, identify weaknesses in current sales execution and support future sales strategy.

Advocacy & Field Support:

  • Provide support to sales management and key stakeholder queries in a timely professional manner.

  • Provide escalation support and manage exceptions.

  • Set-up necessary operating environment to ensure internal satisfaction is high

  • Participate and provide support for global and regional sales meetings and events

Policy, Process & Quality Management:

  • Manage development of standard policies & procedures and definitions for key metrics that support development of Strada sales metrics.

  • Constantly evaluate current process and making recommendations for improvement, standardization, and tools. Identify and execute on ideas to generate business intelligence and generate commercial benefit to the sales organization.

  • Participate actively in change management efforts to implement Strada better practices, new processes process and improvements in systems and tools.

  • Actively participate on wide work streams to contribute and learn from other initiatives across the enterprise.

Team Development:

  • Be part of a high-performance team culture working collaboratively towards continuous improvement.

  • Manage and take personal responsibility for professional development plan designed to support future career progression.

  • Act as a strong contributor across Sales Operations to support an operating environment that makes possible collaboration, open communications, process strengthening and talent development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors/University level degree in related business or operations field required

  • 5-7 years work experience in sales, financial or business analysis or related discipline

  • Experience working with Salesforce CRM

  • Demonstrated Experience working with business intelligence tools including Power BI, Tableau and/or Domo

  • Direct Experience working with revenue management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting applications including Clari, Anaplan, etc.

  • Proven to work independently and in matrix environment

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong MS Office skills in particular XLS essential to be successful in role
