Job Description:

While the initial focus will be mastering the day-to-day safety operations, this role is a deliberate launchpad for a seasoned safety professional ready to transition from managing compliance to leading strategy. Work closely with the Safety Manager to own high-stakes initiatives, mentor junior team members, and drive the strategic vision of a safe, healthful working environment.

Your Path to Leadership

In this role, you won't just execute policies; you will build the systems that protect our people. Your evolution will include:
  • Strategic Influence:Move beyond auditing to analyzing complex safety metrics that guide resource allocation and site strategy.
  • Organizational Leadership:Facilitate and elevate the Plant Safety Committee and spearheading engagement across all shifts to build a culture of shared responsibility and proactive hazard identification.
  • Mentorship: Directly supporting positive employee relations and providing guidance to junior safety staff as a precursor to formal people management.
  • Program Ownership:Refine and scale critical safety programs, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Chemical Response, and Industrial Hygiene programs into best-in-class models.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Technical Authority: Serve as the primary technical resource for frontline operations and maintain a mastery of local and regional regulations. Advise, inform, and deliver strategic reports to operations leadership regarding high-impact safety initiatives and long-term risk mitigation
  • Operational Delivery:Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of safety projects to the Operations team.
  • Training & Motivation:Educate and inspire line supervision and production personnel in specialized safety topics and safe work procedures.
  • Field Engagement:Maintain a high-visibility presence on the manufacturing floor to seek input from employees and plant leaders on program improvements.
  • Clinical Coordination: Oversee occupational medical exams, including respiratory fit testing and hearing conservation audiograms.


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Regulatory Mastery: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations for General Industry, with specific expertise in Lock-out-tag-out, respirators, and confined spaces
  • Analytical Builder:You are proficient with data tools (Google Suite, pivot tables) and can translate charts into compelling safety narratives.
  • Bilingual (Preferred): Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish to lead a diverse workforce.
  • Critical Thinking:Advanced critical thinking, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills backed by strong data evaluation capabilities.
  • Resilient:You thrive in fast-paced environments and can adapt your leadership style as strategy and circumstances shift.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, Ergonomics or a related field highly preferred. Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, or CIH) are highly desirable.

Experience: You have 5+ years of progressive responsibility in safety, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples). May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel between local Cambria locations

Cambria's starting salary range for this position is $72,162 - $93,209. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
