Job Description:
Parsons has a career opportunity for an amazingly talented Senior Roadway Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand in your technical skillset, working alongside a world-class team of civil engineers on major regional infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the design and development of roadway projects, including concept, preliminary and final design.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including AASHTO, FHWA, and state DOT requirements.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews.
What Required Skills/Qualifications You'll Bring:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
8+ years of relevant civil road/highway design experience
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
DOT project experience
Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
OpenRoads Designer experience/proficiency is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
