We are hiring for afull-time Senior Relationship Manager - Large Commercial Marketsto join our Calgary Region CommercialTeam!

As a Senior Relationship Manager, Large Commercial Markets, reporting to the Market Director, you will operate as a trusted advisor to commercial members, managing a complex portfolio of commercial loans and deposits while driving sales, service, and portfolio growth. This role requires expertise in structuring and managing sophisticated lending solutions, including syndicated loan transactions, and overseeing commercial relationships within a portfolio exceeding $150 million. Leveraging your strong commercial acumen and growth mindset, you will cultivate strategic relationships with existing and prospective members, your internal partners (Retail, Wealth, Business Solutions), local business owners, and members of the professional community. We are seeking a results-oriented professional with 5+ years' experience managing large complex commercial connections with a proactive, growth mindset who thrives on uncovering opportunities, delivering innovative solutions, and creating long-term value for members and the Credit Union.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Developing and maintaining effective sales and marketing efforts to maximize Commercial loan growth, deposit growth and sales of peripheral products to help our members succeed in business
  • Proactively building relationships with existing and future members
  • Staying up to date on lending and deposit services, products, policies, and legislation
  • Maximizing our existing portfolio including loan and deposit growth
  • Developing and submitting renewal applications
  • Recommending rates within discretionary limits and approving loans within lending authority
  • Evaluating requests on the basis of policy, risk, and profitability


What you Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive lending and Canadian-based Commercial Banking experience
  • Demonstrated ability in all facets of credit granting and sales of Business Banking products over a three-to-seven-year period
  • Business Banking experience including business development, underwriting, compliance, and knowledge of portfolio management
  • Experience working and developing relationships with members, potential members, influential community people and employees
  • Post-secondary degree in a business discipline or sufficient experience in lieu of education
  • Relevant training for the role may include MBA, CPA, CBV &/or CFA
