Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will serve as a senior technical authority and specialist advisor supporting the delivery of Light Rail Transit Projects.
The position is focused on testing & commissioning (T&C), systems integration, and operational readiness of mission-critical rail communications and control systems. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring end-to-end system functionality, supporting transition from lab environments to live operations.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership and oversight for Testing & Commissioning activities
- Support end-to-end system integration and readiness across field and head-end systems
- Conduct device-level integration and readiness assessments (CCTV, SCADA, communications)
- Support cutover activities including network transitions, upgrades, and migrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues
- Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessments on systems
- Review test procedures, reports, and commissioning documentation
- Provide reporting on system readiness and integration progress
- Interface with client, PMO, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support audit, compliance, and documentation activities
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Expertise in rail communications systems (SCADA, CCTV, networking)
- Experience with testing & commissioning and systems integration
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and OT environments
- Experience with cutover and live system transitions
- Familiarity with industry standards (CENELEC, IEC, etc.)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in major rail/transit infrastructure projects
- Strong background in T&C and systems integration

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
