Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior QA / Tester with strong expertise in functional testing, troubleshooting, and prompt engineering to ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise applications. This role is responsible for designing and executing test strategies, investigating complex issues, validating system functionality, and supporting AI-driven testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, modern testing tools, and prompt engineering techniques.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform functional testing to validate application features and business requirements.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Investigate and troubleshoot application issues through systematic debugging and log analysis.
• Perform performance profiling to identify system bottlenecks and optimize application behavior.
• Support incident response activities by identifying root causes and validating resolutions.
• Design and optimize prompts for various AI models, personas, and business use cases.
• Develop prompts using few-shot and zero-shot learning techniques to improve model performance.
• Integrate prompts with APIs, databases, and external tools to support AI-enabled workflows.
• Track, document, and validate software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) best practices.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation and provide regular status updates on testing activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in functional software testing.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting enterprise applications, including systematic debugging, log analysis, performance profiling, and incident response.
• 2+ years of experience with prompt engineering for AI-driven applications.
• Experience designing prompts for different personas, business tasks, schemas, and AI models.
• Experience using few-shot and zero-shot prompting techniques.
• Experience integrating prompts with APIs, databases, and external tools.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, qTest, Merlin, Selenium, and WebdriverIO.
• Experience with defect tracking processes and issue management tools.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
