As a Senior QA Automation Engineer for Claroty's Public Sector team, you will ensure our cyber-physical security solutions meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and security across federal and government environments.

Responsibilities

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, Your impact will be:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests using modern automation frameworks tailored for cloud-native (EKS/AWS GovCloud) and air-gapped/federal environments.
  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/Jenkins) to validate builds prior to deployment across staging and production environments.
  • Perform full E2E testing across both frontend UI and backend services (CLI, logs, containerized microservices) in mixed Linux and Windows environments.
  • Validate compliance and security baselines to ensure releases conform to strict Federal compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST guidelines).
  • Execute regression testing and smoke tests to ensure continuous deployment stability during sprint releases.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, automated runs, and defect reports in Jira/Allure.
  • Play a key role in safeguarding critical infrastructure across US Government and public sector agency environments.

Requirements

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • US Citizenship Required (due to US Federal and GovCloud compliance requirements).
  • Location & Availability: Remote within the United States (EST time zone preferred)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in QA and software automation development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for automation script development - Must.
  • Proven experience in API testing (both manual and automated) - Must.
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated UI testing - Must.
  • Practical experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or AI-driven testing frameworks) to accelerate test case generation, automate script creation, and optimize QA workflows - Must.
  • Deep experience in Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) and command-line diagnostics (CLI, logs, system metrics) - Must.
  • Solid experience with version control systems (Git / GitLab).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated test reporting tools (Allure or similar).
  • Web Application testing using Playwright and BE tools.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, adaptability, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred / Advantage Qualifications:

  • Experience testing applications deployed on Kubernetes / EKS or containerized environments (Docker).
  • Familiarity with AWS / AWS GovCloud services and architecture.
  • Experience with database query execution and SQL.
  • Understanding of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, or DoD compliance and security frameworks.
  • Experience testing virtual machines, air-gapped infrastructure, or collector/edge devices.

Expected compensation for the role is between $150,000 - $165,000. This is a good faith estimate but does not include equity, bonus, or other forms of payment. Pay will be determined by experience level, but those outside the salary band are welcome to apply.
