- Coordinates and conducts clinical or research activities related to the psychological evaluation and treatment of patients or research participants.
- Provides psychological, physiological and/or behavioral assessments of patients.
- Administers a variety of neuropsychological tests which require advanced formal education to assess areas such as cognitive functioning, academic skills, personality and emotional development, and behavior.
- Develops ideas to facilitate research studies and proposes ideas for new research studies.
- Recruits, screens, and conducts clinical evaluations of potential participants.
- Assists in determining their eligibility to participate in clinical trials.
- Collects, compiles and analyzes data related to various psychological or behavioral studies.
- Extracts statistical data and prepares reports.
- Conducts interviews and schedules regular visits with study participants and their caregivers.
- Writes psychological reports and interprets results.
- Provides consultation and advice concerning post-study therapy, interventions, and behavior management.
- Educates patients concerning research procedures, investigational devices, and drugs.
- Maintains accurate and complete documentation on the delivery of mental health care services for study participants.
- Makes referrals to mental health professionals or services.
- May dispense medication in compliance with research protocols.
- Maintains required documentation.
- Attends and participates in regular administrative and clinical staff meetings.
- Conducts education or informational presentations for targeted audiences.
- May present study findings at conferences. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- A degree in education, psychology, social work or a related field.
- One year of directly related experience.
