Full Job Description
WHOOP is seeking a Senior Project Specialist, Retail Design to drive planning, coordination, and operational excellence across the retail design portfolio. As a trusted partner to the retail design team, you will bring structure, visibility, and consistency to design initiatives from early concept development through production readiness, enabling designers to focus on creating exceptional products. You will collaborate across Product Development, Engineering, Brand, Operations, and external partners to ensure design programs stay aligned, risks are proactively managed, and projects are delivered with excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with Retail Experience and Visual Merchandising Designers to translate creative concepts into actionable project plans, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, budgets, and production requirements.
  • Coordinate operational support for design teams, including prototype builds, vendor logistics, and purchase orders.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Design, Brand, Marketing, Operations, and external partners to keep design activities aligned with retail development schedules.
  • Manage the retail design portfolio by tracking design milestones, maintaining project schedules, and identifying risks or dependencies across concurrent initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project management tools, dashboards, and reporting to improve visibility and execution efficiency.
  • Establish and implement scalable processes, documentation standards, and operational workflows to enhance organization across the Retail Design team.
  • Facilitate clear communication, project updates, and milestone reviews to ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4-7 years of experience in project coordination, project management, design operations, product development, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting industrial design, consumer products, hardware, or other physical product development organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience partnering with creative teams and translating iterative design work into actionable project plans.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors, fabricators, production partners, or agency partners.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Airtable, Monday.com, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for improving operational processes, planning, and portfolio visibility.
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000-$110,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.

These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
