Full Job Description
Project Manager

As a Project Manager you will oversee the operation of a project(s)/contract(s) to include the safety and wellbeing of its employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and generally represents the company.

You will report to the Site Manager and be located in Waterford, CT.

On-Site

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the adequacy of clearance orders and lockout/tagout to ensure personnel and equipment protection for the work being performed.
  • Staff and de-staff craft personnel.
  • Responsible for overall labor relations.
  • Responsible for overall cost control.
  • Ensure training/personnel qualifications are met and overall personnel performance.
  • Maintain working knowledge of resources required to complete project.
  • Provide direction and management of workforce.
  • Coordinate and support workflow process to completion and within budget parameters.
  • Predict risk and develop/implement mitigation strategies associated with engineering design, vendor activities, and craft installation activities.
  • Control cost associated with engineering design, vendor contracts, and craft teams.Influence the actions of those not under direct control.
  • Provide written and face-to-face communications with mid-level plant leaders (above first line supervisor).
  • Provide intrusive management of vendor companies to monitor/control timelines, quality, and scope of deliverables.


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of project management experience, with experience delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project
  • Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for project meetings and site visits
