Job Title:Senior Project Manager-Utility Program Integration (ENGIE)

Serves as the primary university liaison responsible for ensuring coordination and integration of ENGIE (utility concessionaire) capital improvement and energy projects with university stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with university planning (PARE), active projects (FDC), and ongoing operations (FOD) and alignment with the Energy Office in Office of Business and Finance. This role provides program-level oversight and coordination for a portfolio of ENGIE-led projects, ensuring successful integration with the university. ENGIE retains responsibility for project delivery; this position ensures alignment, coordination, and issue resolution across all stakeholders. Provides guidance and mentorship to FDC Project Managers managing projects that include ENGIE scope and ensures alignment with FDC projects and ENGIE scope.
ENGIE Program Coordination & IntegrationServes as the primary point of contact for Capital Projects between ENGIE and the university
Ensures ENGIE projects are coordinated with the Energy Office, campus stakeholders, FOD Operations, and university units
Ensures alignment with university standards, master planning, and operational constraints. Will influence changes to the standards as needed.
Involvement in Energy Advisory Committee, review of utility capital plan and 5-year plan including but not limited to committees integral to this role.
Identifies and resolves conflicts between ENGIE and university capital projects
Identifies and proactively coordinates university projects with ENGIE.
Portfolio Oversight (Non-Delivery Role)Provides program-level coordination and oversight of ENGIE project portfolio
Ensures alignment across multiple concurrent projects and proactively communicates and ensure accountability for all related projects.
Advises schedules, outages, and campus impacts if University responsibility but has high communication if Engie is responsible.
ENGIE maintains responsibility for project delivery in most cases, should ENGIE provide funding to the University the University will coordinate the project delivery in accordance with project requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & CommunicationEnsure projects are coordinated by ENGIE and appropriate stakeholders are identified unless the university is the responsible party to deliver
Assists in communicating impacts such as outages and disruptions unless OSU is delivering projects.
Provides updates to leadership and stakeholders
Support & Mentorship
Guides FDC PMs on projects involving ENGIE
Develops coordination standards and best practices, continuously looks for improvement opportunities when working with ENGIE.
Assists with integration, scheduling, and issue resolution
Construction Coordination
Counsels ENGIE on construction activities regarding campus activities (events, CABS routes, academic calendar, etc.)
Resolves access, outage, and phasing conflicts
Ensures proactive communication with university leadership and stakeholders
Compliance & Standards
Ensures projects align with university standards, university project management software, and regulations
Ensures close alignment with ENGIE master plan, estimating, projected costs and actively looks for ways to improve processes.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintains coordination documentation
Provides reporting on risks, schedules, and impacts
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 4 years in capital project management or construction; experience coordinating complex programs. 4-8 years of relevant experience/Engineering background preferred.
Additional Information:The target hiring range for this job profile is $88,300 - $115,350 annually. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
