CDM Smith is hiring in North Carolina! We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced seller-doer business development-oriented Project Manager to join our Transportation group! Position can be based in Raleigh or Charlotte. CDM Smith has been providing transportation services in North Carolina for over 50 years. We are looking to expand our focus and market share in transportation design with the NCDOT and new municipal clients.

In this position, you will be:
- Managing and serving as a North Carolina Transportation Project Manager on transportation design projects including bicycle/pedestrian, traffic, planning, new location/and widening local rural two-lane roadways, urban multi-lane roadways, multi-lane interstate and controlled access facilities with major interchanges and interchange types
- Arranging, facilitating and preparing for meetings and coordinating with major clients
- Building new business and managing relationships with key transportation leaders within NCDOT and other major clients including municipalities and contractors for design build throughout North Carolina.
- Managing and assisting with strategic pursuits including proposal development and client meetings
- Preparing and managing design and construction contract specifications for transportation projects
- Being involved with budget, scope and schedule development, monitoring and adherence for tasks and projects managed
- Implementing quality procedures at project and task levels
- Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 10 years of related experience.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven and successful experience winning and managing NCDOT projects
- Previous engineering design experience with pre-qualification ability with NCDOT is a major plus
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related discipline
- Professional engineering (PE) license

Pay Range Min
USD $120,973.00
Pay Range Max
USD $211,723.00
Additional Pay Range Information
CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
