OverviewThe
Senior Project Manager - Cement & Aggregates will be based in
Roanoke, VA, supporting projects across Titan America's operations, including our flagship Roanoke Cement Company.
This role leads the full lifecycle execution of capital projects-from feasibility through commissioning-ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. The position operates as a key member of the Corporate Engineering team, partnering closely with Business Unit leadership, plant operations, procurement, and external engineering firms.
Responsibilities- Lead feasibility studies, including development of capital cost estimates, project schedules, and technical solutions that maximize return on investment
- Develop and evaluate engineering concepts; coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on detailed design and permitting activities
- Define scopes of work and supply in partnership with Corporate and Business Unit procurement teams for equipment, construction, and installation
- Evaluate vendor proposals with a focus on life cycle cost, reliability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership
- Oversee project execution, including permitting, construction, installation, commissioning, and startup
- Monitor and report on project performance (cost, schedule, quality), providing clear updates to stakeholders
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project delivery remains on track
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across capital project delivery and execution standards
- Travel across Titan America operations (~25%) to support project oversight and field execution
QualificationsQualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing capital projects in heavy industrial environments (cement, aggregates, mining, or similar sectors)
Core Capabilities- Strong understanding of industrial project delivery across multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar)
- Knowledge of BIM 360, Navisworks, or similar tools is a plus
- Familiarity with cement manufacturing processes, equipment, and key vendors preferred
- Experience in terminal (import/export) construction is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects independently while influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence

Certifications (Preferred)- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
