Key Responsibilities
Independently manage 1-2 large, complex projects.
Lead projects through the full project management lifecycle from initiation through closeout.
Manage projects with budgets of $1M+ and durations of approximately 18+ months.
Manage multiple business, vendor, organizational change management, and technology workstreams.
Coordinate approximately 30 workstreams when applicable within a larger initiative.
Apply predictive, adaptive, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.
Utilize stage-gate governance.
Develop and manage project KPIs and measurable business outcomes.
Establish customer-specific performance measures.
Manage organizational change and adoption activities.
Develop change management policies and strategies.
Manage vendor backlogs and develop actionable backlog management plans.
Track project milestones, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Adjust project plans and resources based on changing business needs.
Prepare executive-level presentations and status reports.
Facilitate executive and business stakeholder meetings.
Assemble and manage business-focused working teams.
Lead through influence without direct authority.
Partner with executive leadership, business sponsors, IT senior management, DHS/DES leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Provide project guidance and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure successful transition of initiatives into operational delivery teams.
Develop high-quality project artifacts including charters, project plans, schedules, status reports, and executive presentations.
Support strategic initiatives and enterprise-level business priorities.
Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible project management experience.
Typically 10+ years of program/project management experience preferred.
