About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Owner's Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing owner interests on large-scale construction, capital improvement, renovation, and development projects. This individual will be responsible for leading projects from planning through occupancy, ensuring alignment with client objectives related to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.

What you'll do
  • Act as the Owner's Representative and primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead projects through all phases including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with client objectives.
  • Establish and maintain project governance, reporting processes, and project controls to support effective decision-making.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, contingencies, and change orders, providing recommendations to protect project outcomes.
  • Coordinate and manage design teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Review design deliverables, construction documents, contractor submittals, and project reports on behalf of the owner.
  • Provide strategic guidance on procurement approaches, contracting strategies, value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively identify project risks, issues, and opportunities, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budget tracking, cash flow forecasting, contingency management, and change management.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance with client requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Support permitting, occupancy, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, presentations, and project updates to client leadership teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services and business growth.
  • Capture project lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects and teams.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience, including experience acting as an Owner's Representative or managing projects on behalf of owners.
  • Strong knowledge of design and construction processes, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Experience leading large-scale construction, capital improvement, renovation, or development projects.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Effective presentation skills with experience communicating to executive-level stakeholders and client leadership.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with risk management, cost control, change management, and quality assurance processes.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or equivalent are preferred.
