What Success Looks Like As a Project Manager on nesto's B2B delivery team, you'll lead large, multi-stream SaaS implementation programs for our financial-institution partners. This role combines discovery and implementation ownership, from early requirements through delivery, testing, and post-launch stabilization. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure programs are delivered efficiently and all stakeholders remain aligned. In order to be successful:
- You take immediate ownership and drive progress from day one, even when faced with ambiguity.
- You proactively organize work and bring structure where processes don't exist.
- You will identify and help implement foundational product management standards and practices - as the team was established recently, we are still building the infrastructure required for a highly efficient PM organization.
- You ramp up quickly on our SaaS delivery model - enterprise SaaS delivery experience is a must.
- You demonstrate strong learning agility by absorbing large amounts of new information quickly.
What You'll Be Doing- Own the end-to-end delivery of enterprise client implementations, from discovery through deployment and post-launch transition.
- Facilitate discovery workshops along side our SMEs and requirements sessions to define scope, dependencies, and timelines.
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable delivery plans using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Operations) and external vendors to drive progress and resolve blockers.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Provide clear, consistent communication to client and internal stakeholders, including weekly status reports, risk logs, and steering committee updates.
- Track project health and proactively identify delivery risks, capacity constraints, and cross-program dependencies.
- Partner with other PMs to align workstreams across major accounts
- Contribute to the evolution of nesto's delivery framework.
What You Bring- 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in SaaS environments.
- Experience or understanding of non-functional requirements (e.g. monitoring, alerting, high availability, production / cloud operations), relevant to SaaS platforms.
- Direct customer interaction experience, as you'll be responsible for driving customer meetings.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, confident interfacing with executives, clients, and technical teams.
- Comfortable managing complex, ambiguous programs with many moving parts, and able to bring structure, communication, and predictability to cross-functional teams.
- Advanced organizational skills and the ability to drive coordination across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar.
- Knowledge of Agile or hybrid delivery models, with the ability to adapt process to context.
Nice-to-Have- Project management credentials & methods: PMP (Project Management Professional) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and/or other agile PM certifications.
- A technical background, ideally in engineering or a similar adjacent domain.
- Experience working with financial institutions, mortgage or lending technology, or regulated B2B environments.
- Experience using AI tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.) to improve or streamline your work and workflows.
This Role Might Be for You If- You thrive in ambiguous environments and can drive clarity without a playbook.
- You enjoy building structure from scratch and take pride in leaving things more organized than you found them.
- You lead with a servant-leader mindset - you enable your team rather than manage from above.
- You're motivated by rapid learning and get energized when there's a lot to absorb quickly.
- You welcome high leadership exposure and are comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- You're adaptable and can shift priorities without losing momentum.
You Shouldn't Apply If- You don't have proven experience in a SaaS environment, or lack an understanding of operations topics like monitoring, alerting, high availability, and production/cloud operations.
- Your experience is strictly internal. If you've only managed back-office projects or internal tool rollouts, you'll lack the client-facing experience this role requires.
- You need a predefined playbook to succeed. We're building our processes while delivering a massive initiative, so if you need established structures and "perfect" documentation to get started, you'll find our environment frustrating.
- You're coming from a large, rigid corporate environment and are looking for a slow pace or clear departmental boundaries. Our PM scope will likely feel overwhelming.
