Senior Project Manager - Mine Water Management

Vancouver, BC; Saskatoon, SK; Toronto, ON; Remote - Regular Full-Time

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership and management of water treatment and water management projects for Ensero clients.

About the Role

  • Provide direction and leads the performance (scope, schedule and cost) of water management and water treatment projects for mining clients.
  • Develops integrated project engineering schedule including critical path for the end to end tasks and activities necessary to successfully implement projects.
  • Works with client and resource managers to ensure resources and dependencies are identified and assigned to the project.
  • Manages conceptual water treatment design through detailed design stages for clients, including vendor packages and balance of plant scopes.
  • Ensures assigned resources are executing as planned.
  • Provides tracking and reporting to plan and develops recovery plans as required.
  • Makes or directs analysis of project financial performance, ensuring on-budget delivery and management of change.
  • Supports risk analysis with project management, and manages complex project delivery and technical risk.
  • Monitors and promotes environmental health and worker safety.
  • Mentors junior/intermediate project team members.
  • Leads the development of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
  • Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
  • Oversees/ provides expert input on development of field investigations in area(s) of expertise.
  • Complete other projects, reporting and tasks as assigned.
  • All other related duties as required.


About You

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred, with science, construction management, or a relevant technical field as alternatives.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience.
  • Experience working in environmental consulting or project consulting setting is an asset.
  • Experience delivering complex projects that include a mix of engineering and technical services such as treatment systems design and construction, particularly in northern and/or remote mine settings.
  • Project Management Professional Certification and/or Professional Engineer designation are preferred.


$130,000 - $170,000 a year
