About the Role (Job Summary)

The Senior Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive strategic priorities across Finance, including automation, digital transformation, and process optimization. This role owns end-to-end project delivery—from planning and governance to execution and implementation—partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes such as cost savings, efficiency gains, and improved decision-making.

As a trusted partner to Finance leadership, this role ensures alignment across teams, drives accountability, and advances continuous improvement efforts that strengthen operational performance and scalability.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex Finance projects, including planning, execution, governance, and implementation
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives (e.g., automation, process optimization, systems improvements) to improve efficiency and decision speed
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and cost constraints
  • Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, success metrics, and value realization outcomes
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Finance, IT, and business teams to ensure alignment and execution
  • Provide clear executive-level communication, including project updates, risks, dependencies, and decision points
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, driving resolution and escalation as needed
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and performance tracking to ensure business impact and ROI
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in project management, mentoring team members and promoting best practices

Basic Requirements (Minimum Education & Experience)

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience in a large, complex organization
  • Proven experience delivering cross-functional projects or transformation initiatives (finance, digital, or automation-related)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Strong experience in project planning, execution, and governance (timelines, budgets, risk management)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level interaction

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience leading Finance transformation, ERP, or system implementation initiatives
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, or performance analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies
  • Experience leveraging automation tools or AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)

Work Environment & Travel

  • Hybrid or office-based role depending on business needs
  • Occasional travel (estimated 10-15%) for stakeholder alignment and project execution
