Senior Project Manager - Major Roadway

Description

DRMP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to help strengthen and expand our roadway practice throughout the Tampa Bay and Florida Gulf Coast region.

This role builds on established client relationships, strong delivery teams, and a growing backlog of work. We are looking for a leader who can step in and enhance our existing efforts-supporting client managers, contributing to strategic pursuits, and helping position our team for continued growth.

Working alongside established leadership, you will help lead pursuits and deliver complex transportation projects for Florida's Turnpike Enterprise (FTE), FDOT, THEA, and other regional transportation agencies, while supporting strategic county and municipal opportunities throughout the region.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a transportation leader who enjoys working on high-profile infrastructure projects while helping expand DRMP's presence across one of Florida's fastest-growing transportation markets.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

Support Strategic Growth

  • Partner with client managers to strengthen existing client relationships and expand opportunities with key transportation agencies.
  • Help identify, position, and pursue targeted opportunities aligned with DRMP's strategic growth objectives.
  • Contribute to long-term market positioning and pursuit planning throughout the Tampa Bay and Florida Gulf Coast region.


Contribute to Winning Work

  • Support and help lead proposal development, Letters of Response, technical proposals, and interview presentations.
  • Participate in capture planning, teaming strategies, and pursuit execution for major transportation projects.
  • Provide strategic insight that enhances DRMP's competitiveness and strengthens our pursuit efforts.


Lead Project Delivery

  • Serve as Project Manager for complex roadway and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.


Strengthen the Team

  • Mentor project managers and junior staff while supporting professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that builds on existing team strengths.
  • Contribute to internal training, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing.


Deliver Quality

  • Reinforce DRMP's reputation through consistent, high-quality project delivery.
  • Provide leadership that supports technical excellence, responsive client service, and successful project execution.


What you'll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (PE required).
  • 15-20+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience.
  • Experience managing major roadway and transportation projects for FDOT, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, tolling authorities, regional transportation agencies, and/or major municipal clients.
  • Familiarity with Florida transportation procurement and project delivery processes.
  • Experience supporting major pursuits, technical proposals, and client development efforts.
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, multidisciplinary teams, and client relationships.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
