Job Summary: The
Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion. This position will have 1-2 Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers working with them on this job, and they all play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. The Senior Project Manager must possess a strong knowledge of project management principles, construction processes, and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise all project activities, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure project compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct regular project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and present project reports to management.
- Technical writing and ability to bid work and have it reviewed.
Requirements and Education:- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager for complex heavy civil construction projects is generally required to be successful in this role.
- Experience with large government projects involving site development, infrastructure, mass excavation, grading, trenching, underground utilities, heavy concrete, etc. is required.
- OSHA 30-hour construction outreach training.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob, CMiC, Sage/Timberline, Trimble Viewpoint/Vista, Microsoft Project, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service and client management skills
Preferred Requirements and Education:- Experience with dam and/or reservoir projects is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to access secured facilities, including military bases.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
