As our Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for managing all aspects of large-scale and complex projects from implementation phase through to completion. Ensure projects are safety compliant, completed on time, and delivered within budget in accordance with the specifications and scope of work, while providing leadership and guidance to project teams and key stakeholders.
Position Overview: - Provides strategic input on project execution and delivery to ensure client requirements and business objectives are achieved.
- Responsible for the overall management of large, complex, or multiple concurrent projects, including oversight of purchase orders, subcontracts, equipment, insurance, permits and bonds.
- Collaborates with the Project Planner, Project Design Engineer, outside consultants and key stakeholders to establish project schedules, priorities and drawing requirements.
- Leads the resolution of complex project issues and conflicts involving subcontractors, suppliers, employees and clients when necessary.
- Evaluates and approves any significant project changes while assessing impacts to scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
- Serves as the senior client representative throughout the project lifecycle, providing strategic guidance, fostering strong client relationships, and supporting successful project closeout and building inspections.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to Project Managers and project team members as required.
Qualifications Needed: - Post-secondary education in the field of engineering OR minimum 10+ years' experience leading construction projects, including large-scale or complex projects.
- Strong understanding of the fundamental business principles including financial, legal, and organizational aspects
- Professional communicator, offering creative solutions while managing critical project details.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office and project management software. Experience using Autodesk Forma/ACC or Primavera P6 is considered an asset.
- Experience mentoring project teams and providing leadership within a project environment.
