OverviewEXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
MBP is seeking a highly qualified Senior Project Manager with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience leading large-scale capital programs and complex design and construction initiatives. The candidate shall demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing programs with an aggregate value exceeding $500 million, including oversight of multiple concurrent projects ranging from $25 million to $150 million, diverse stakeholder groups, and large multidisciplinary teams. Experience delivering higher education, municipal, and/or K–12 educational facility programs is strongly preferred.
This role is responsible for providing executive-level leadership and oversight for a portfolio of architectural, building, infrastructure, and campus development projects. The Senior Project Manager will direct all aspects of program planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout while ensuring alignment with client objectives, budget constraints, schedule commitments, and quality expectations.
Major responsibilities include leadership and management of a large program management team; oversight of consultants, designers, contractors, and construction managers; strategic planning and program controls; procurement and contracting support; executive stakeholder engagement; risk management; budget development and oversight; and coordination among client departments, public agencies, educational stakeholders, and community partners. The Senior Project Manager will establish governance processes, drive decision-making, and ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Capable of managing project managers, multiple teams, and multiple assignments, taking projects from conception to completion.
- Actively engaged with the client to identify new opportunities to expand existing work.
- Provides quality assurance reviews throughout projects.
- Prepares, monitors, and manages client project budgets.
- Responsible for setup, updates, and closeout of project plans and opportunities in VantagePoint.
- Works with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections.
- Works closely with Area Managers to support Team Member training, professional development, and performance reviews.
- Actively participates in company activities, including but not limited to Area and company-wide events.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
- B.S. in an industry-related field, advanced degree preferred.
- Professional registration, other specific certifications such as CCM, CCE, or advanced specialized technical knowledge preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management and project controls, with specialized knowledge in several areas, including scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in personnel and project management techniques, including budgeting, leadership, training, and business development.
- Ability to manage teams on large, complex projects.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Expertise with MBP's diverse services. Initiates strategic approach to projects, marketing, and business development opportunities. Manages major clients and is capable of managing multiple teams and multiple assignments, taking projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to provide a team strategy to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to lead a team’s efforts to analyze and optimize internal and external processes.
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, email, Internet navigation, web-based tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
- Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining focus and calmness.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and make recommendations.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is contingent upon the award.
STATUS: Full-time
The base salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $160,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
