Job DescriptionIn this role you will be a part of the infrastructure group in the Northeast market. We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects across North America. We are currently looking to grow and enhance our transit, rail control systems, structural, roadway, and tunneling practices.
What a day at EXP has in store for you- Manage a wide variety and complexity of infrastructure related projects.
- Pursue opportunities in the local market and support national pursuits as needed
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to pursue and deliver a variety of projects
- Serve as EXP's Project Manager on a wide variety of related projects
- Maintain project schedules and manage project financials including profit/loss responsibility and targeted direct margin.
- Coordinate staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating and reviewing work by others.
- Perform design computations, oversee report, plan and specification development and sign and seal construction documents as necessary.
- Oversee and approve invoicing/billing and manage project scope and secure change orders as necessary, chase A/R and provide internal reporting as may be required.
- Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to execute project delivery.
- Act as EXP's representative with the client and subcontractors during projects, negotiations, execution and close-out.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for project pursuits.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
What your experience looks like- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible relevant experience
- Licensed PE in New York
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective
- Prior success in pursuing and delivering projects in local market.
- Significant experience preparing proposals and participating in shortlist interviews.
- Knowledge of work related to delivering projects for with local agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise other engineers, planners and technicians.
- Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment..
- Ability to mentor staff.
- Industry participation in professional societies both locally and nationally.
- Ability to travel in both the United States and Canada.
- Experience with tunnel, bridge, highway, track, and systems design elements
- Prior experience building a team or expanding services.
- Experience with local Northeast clients.
The pay range for this role is $155,000 to $220,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
