As an early adopter of advanced eDiscovery technology and methodologies, the Firm's Global eDiscovery Services Department provides strategic services to our disputes lawyers and clients. The Sr. Project Manager, eDiscovery Cyber Services leads eDiscovery and data analysis workstreams for complex cyber incident response (CIR) matters, from initial data assessment through review, extraction, normalization, entity resolution, notification and reporting. Partnering with the firm's Cybersecurity practice, clients, forensic providers, review providers and other third parties, the role manages scope, cost, risk, quality and delivery while developing defensible, efficient strategies that make effective use of technology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead eDiscovery and data analysis strategies for complex CIR matters, including file listing analysis, data assessment, identification of sensitive data, defensible reduction, review, extraction, normalization, entity resolution, notification and reporting.
• Serve as the senior eDiscovery/CIR advisor and primary point of contact for assigned matters, translating technical and data issues into practical strategies, risks, options and recommendations for legal teams, clients and stakeholders.
• Design, validate and document defensible methodologies for data reduction, identification of sensitive data, search term calibration, statistical sampling, analytics and other technology assisted workflows.
• Coordinate with forensic providers, clients, legal teams, vendors and review teams on secure data assessment, transfer, workflow design, quality control, productivity, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
• Develop and manage matter budgets, forecasts, work plans, resource needs, metrics and customized reporting; monitor scope, costs and vendor spend and proactively identify variances.
• Oversee extraction, normalization, entity resolution, deduplication, address validation and development of notification lists, including analysis of anomalies, near duplicates and matching issues using SQL, advanced Excel, scripts, queries or other data transformation techniques as appropriate.
• Support legal teams and clients in interpreting data findings, methodologies, metrics, notification populations and responses to client or regulatory inquiries.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex project, technology and vendor issues while maintaining active ownership of complex matters and delegating effectively.

Leadership and professional development

• Mentor and develop Project Managers, Project Analysts and other team members through coaching, knowledge sharing and guidance on active matters.
• Help shape the department's Cyber eDiscovery service model, standards, playbooks and process improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and analytics approaches that may improve quality, efficiency, defensibility or client outcomes.
• Expand consulting, client service and leadership capabilities through increasingly complex matters and initiatives that span multiple practice and business functions.

This position is remote and can therefore be located in any city where we have a US office. Flexibility to visit the office for training or meetings is required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology or related consulting, including significant project management responsibility, and at least one year managing or substantially leading matters involving cyber incident response, data breaches or sensitive data review.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters with large data volumes; advise attorneys, clients and senior stakeholders on strategy, workflow, risk, cost and technology; and lead multidisciplinary teams, outside providers and escalations.
• Advanced Excel skills required, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query and Power Pivot/DAX; experience analyzing, formatting and reporting on large structured and semistructured datasets.
• Minimum of three years of Relativity experience, with advanced proficiency in review workflows, analytics and reporting; Relativity Certified Administrator certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with complex structured and unstructured data, including millions of documents or rows of information, sensitive data elements and privacy classifications such as PII and PHI, as well as personal data subject to GDPR.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under rigorous deadlines with limited direction, exercise sound judgment, follow established procedures and remain flexible to support urgent matters outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
• Preferred but not required: experience with database tools such as MS SQL, Access or Oracle; scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell or APIs; advanced analytics, machine learning, AI review tools or other emerging technologies; and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to legal teams, clients and nontechnical stakeholders.
